Cookie Verdict

So I served the cookie today for a snack at a class at church and it was good. The topping was yummy, the cookie was yummy - it was, however, a bit messy. And I don't think I got the middle of the cookie thin enough so it didn't cook all the way through... lessons learned. Everyone did enjoy it and encouraged me to try it again to see how it works.

Even better than trying the cookie, though, were the two party leads that I got. One of my friends wanted to be the first person to host a show - so I think we will be looking at a date at the end of February for her. And when I mentioned to the group that I had just become a Pampered Chef consultant - one of the women mentioned that she wanted to host a party and was so glad to hear that I am now a consultant - we will be talking next week about setting up a date for her. All by just mentioning the product! I've given out about 30-35 invitations to my Grand Opening party - we'll see how it goes.

And since I had a huge lunch today - I didn't have dinner and was out of the house all day - so I didn't get a chance to try another recipe - but will definitely be making pizza tomorrow.

Goodies and Sugar Cookie

Just about a week ago, I took the plunge and became a Pampered Chef Independent Consultant. Needing a little extra money and knowing that a traditional part time job might not work with my full time job – I decided to sell something that I have, and use and am passionate about – Pampered Chef.

I got all my goodies yesterday and washed them all up today so I can start playing with them all week. So while doing a bit of house keeping – I watched the start up videos today. And did some shopping to get the ingredients to try a few recipes.

Started with this sugar cookie… took an entire package of prepared sugar cookie dough – split it in half – cooked it and the spread on top is cream cheese, powdered sugar, vanilla pudding and raspberries – topped with grated milk chocolate.

A couple of things to try next time… don’t put it on the round stone – it expanded to the edge of the stone and dripped off onto the bottom of the oven. I’m thinking next time – I will split the dough in half and make two smaller hearts – on the large bar pan. We will try the cookie tomorrow – we’ll see how it tastes. Stay tuned…
